Gold Coast Marathon 2013
The weather in the lead up to the Gold Coast Marathon was beautiful quite different to the Max 9 and Min 4 for Hobart.What a race, with the eventual winners being Japan's Yukiko Akaba 2:27.17 (womens) and Yuki Kawuchi 2:10:01 (mens).
You could not wipe the smiles off their faces as they posed for photos.
Such a gruelling race (42 kms) will always have it's tough stories Kenyans Edwin Kiprop Korir and Samson Barmao had to withdraw at the 30 k mark clearly in distress.
